About Us - Farm Equipment Suppliers

JJ Farm Equipment opened it's doors in September 2017 in Yoogali, a suburb of Griffith in Southern NSW which is a very large and very diverse agriculture area that has both dry area and irrigation farming enterprises.

The company was founded by Managing Director Justin James and his wife Nicola James. Justin's family owned and operated a mixed farming enterprise in the Rankins Springs area for three generations whilst Nicola's family farmed in the Hillston area and owned the local supermarket. Justin has been in the farm equipment industry since 1998 operating in many roles including retail sales, dealership management, wholesale business and product specialist for leading agricultural brands in Australia.

He grew up on his family farm and was schooled at Yanco Agricultural High School before completing a building trade in Wagga & spending several years in the building industry. Leaving the building industry in the late 90's to start in a sales role with Murdoch & Gaffey in Griffith, he then had national roles with CNH Australia, Howard Australia, DuPont Pioneer and Landpower Australia travelling the country and overseas in his role as a representative for the respective companies over a 18 year period.

The experience gained with these companies in various roles over the years has given Justin the background, knowledge and contacts required to start a new equipment dealership from the ground up, to seek great brands to build the dealership on and employ great people to drive the business - at the end of the day, people deal with people!

Tom Troy joined JJ Farm Equipment as Head Of Sales in April 2024 after 26 years in the banking industry and in September 2024 Justin and Nicola offered Tom and his wife Tanya Troy a share holding in JJ Farm Equipment.

Tom is originally a local spending his early years living in Coleambally and then Myall Park before moving to Queensland. His financial background and experience and his knowledge of the area and farming practices mean that he is a great asset to the JJ Farm Equipment business and to our customers.
